choral night
choral night 2004 just ended 3 hours ago! i do enjoy ny's choral night. sec ones and twos wld be given this golden opportunity to stand on stage and perform their best. not only do we learn to stay bonded and united as a class to give an impressive show to the audience, it is also a time for us to take a look at the hidden talents in our own friends. (:
last year, i fell sick during the choral night period and i didnt had the chance to perform my role as the little monkey. i regretted it loads cos when i did fund-raising with the class, i really enjoyed trying to sell our squishy strawberries in disgusting chocolate and drinks which we obtained by using our coins at the vending machine =P at the same time, i managed to catch a great showcase of our sister class and other classes.
BUT this year, i managed to catch the performances on ALL 5 days except tuesday's. awww. i heard that it was one of the best days of all performances. but anyway it was really great! seeing so many friends and everyone coming from everywhere, from a little boyboy to a grandmama, enjoying the spectacular shows and the girls at the fund raising stalls busy grabbing customers to sell their goods for charity... yayy! the feelin's really great. although i get really tired out at the end of the day, having spent the whole day at schl like having cca or rehearsals then proceeding to choral nite, i don't mind continuing like this day after day wif my classmates and friends supporting our fellow schoolmates. ((:
and perhaps under the influence of gen and ry, i grew to love the lightings in the audi too. and i really love to watch the scenes change wif the different colours background from the lights and everything, making the show really spectacular and complete. heard from xr and tania they all on how they control the lights.. it seems quite fun. really wish to try out in the control room someday? and i also love the music player at the stage wing. haha it simply rocks with the thing sliding up and down controlling the volume and everything. ahh! it's so nice.
to sec ones, choral night may be just their first experience on stage in their secondary school life and it's a time for them to just try their best and do what they can do. but to the sec twos, it holds a special meaning cos it would be the last event the class dat we've been together for two years is going to participate together in. and it's the thing which only the class when united, can do it well together and give it a last great shot and let this choral night be etched and left in our beautiful memories as we think of how we rehearsed, performed, the happy and funny moments when we acted.
both groups of 203 had gone through a lot before having the honour to be presenting our "masterpiece" after months of hardwork and practising. each and every role counts and does affect the performance. in the first half, i can see great actors like xr, sharon, mianrong, andrea, etc giving their best and making our performance a really great success. but every single one of us did contributed to this outcome. although i think i sort of flunked the first scene by using the wrong hand to point, or wadever, i felt that being able to let the audience enjoy and laugh at our overall performance was already a great achievement for us. thanks to those who really devote into the character and let themselves all out to act, not caring about their face or wadever. eg. the models (in both expresson and the compeition) haha esp sand's "flash!" everyone did it well!
i enjoyed the cheering we did for one another. and it does touches my heart when all of us hugged together after the performance, knowing that we have did it. (: [almost cried] haha. xu ou is leaving ny for rg. although we're nt really close. but it's really sad to see a friend leave and furthermore, it might be quite difficult to keep in touch in future. so yepp hope xu ou enjoyed this choral nite we have had together (: [thanks a lot for your cups you specially prepared for us!] and thanks to my dearr mortal, jia min, for her rose and huggs! love you always! <3 haha
when all was over, there were ex classmates and friends who came to watch. glad that they have came to support us ((: thanks for going! but do not feel guilty when you didnt' buy flowers *hint hint* although i wld be glad if you have given mi flowers, but it's the heart that matters. as long as you did bother to make the trip to ny to watch, im already very grateful! haha so yup thanks for everything.
203, i will miss ya. love you always.. keep in touch in future. someone, please organize some gatherings in future yar! we'll never forget what we've done on 5/11/04- choral night! i love all of you! *huggs* choral night rocks! trixers rock!
